DRIVER PROFILE

Bobby Baillargeon, Jr.

As a third generation racer, racing is in his blood.  At the age of eleven, Bobby started racing karts at Sugar Hill Speedway in Weare, NH.  In the next few years, he raced at several tracks throughout New England and traveled to various other tracks including Charlotte Motor Speedway, Palmetto Supertrack in South Carolina, and Chapel Hill Raceway in Humphrey, New York, and many more.  Bobby concluded his kart racing career with nine victories and over one hundred top five finishes, leaving him eager to begin the next step in his racing career.

In late 2000, the Baillargeon Motorsports team began building their first NASCAR late model for Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH for the 2001 race season.  In 2003, after a few years of late model racing, Bobby finished fifth in the championship standings while receiving the “Hard Luck Award” for the late model field of 2003.  In 2004, Bobby joined the ACT tour for a few of their races and completed eight races at Lee USA Speedway.  In those eight starts at Lee, Bobby had three heat wins, three top five finishes and five top ten finishes.  In the racing off-season of 2004, two #82 crew members moved to North Carolina to pursue jobs in NASCAR, leaving the team to regroup for the 2005 season.  After racing a limited schedule in 2005, the team decided to race the complete ACT tour in 2006.  Bobby enjoyed learning about and racing at the various tracks throughout New England and Canada and joined the tour again for selected races in 2007.

In 2008, the BBMS team returned to Lee USA Speedway for the entire race season.  The team joined up with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life to help raise awareness for their cause.

The 2009 racing season was Bobby’s best race season to date by far.  His 2009 season highlights include:

-      3 Feature Wins

-      5 Heat Race Wins

-      Triple Crown Series Track Champion

-      2nd most wins of Late Model Division at track

-      4th in NH for number of wins in the NASCAR Feature Division

-      8 top three finishes of 12 heat races

Away from the track, Bobby enjoys fishing with his crew chief at lakes throughout New Hampshire.  He also enjoys camping and traveling.

Bobby is a 2001 graduate of Exeter High School and Seacoast School of Technology, where he was a part of the automotive program.  In 2003, Bobby graduated from Lakes Region Community College, formerly New Hampshire Community Technical College, with a degree in Automotive Service Technology.  He is now a GM Master Certified Technician.
